Echo Valley

NW Epic Series' 2nd stop will once again be at Echo Valley in Chelan on the scenic and smooth flowing trails of Echo Ridge/Valley above beautiful Lake Chelan. The Echo Valley Ski Resort will have camping and facilities available, ideal for a weekend of racing and relaxing.

Kids Event

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance will be organizing an event just for the kids! Check back later for more details.

Chip Timing

If you already have a chip, use it (just let us know the number). If you don't have one, we'll provide you with one for a $5 deposit. You can either turn it in after the race and get your money back or keep it for future races.

FSA Loop 14-mile

For riders who want to try racing but not commit to the long distance or for those of you who want to push the limits and go Full Speed Ahead!

Vin du Lac of Chelan, one of the top Wineries in the region, and was named “Winery of the Year” in 2010.

The race will be limited to 250 riders. We provide a well marked course, awards, race swag, fully stocked aid stations (Clif Product, nuun, fruit, peanut butter, cookies, crackers, etc) and a post race feast.

Friday

3:00pm - onsite camping opens

Camping is available at $15 per tent/car/trailer per night. Available Friday and Saturday nights. Pay onsite (cash or check only). All payment goes directly to Echo Valley Ski Club

5:00-8:00pm - packet pickup opportunity at Vin du Lac Winery and Restaurant, 105 Highway 150, Chelan (pickup also available on Saturday)

6:30-8:00am - bib pickup

8:35am - Start for ALL Females, Male 50+

7:00-8:30am - bib pickup

8:45am - Start for Male 50+ and Juniors

8:55am - Start for ALL Females

FSA 17 Mile Riders

8:00-9:00am - bib pickup

Cutoffs

2:30pm: 60 Mile - end of 2nd loop

Course Details

60-mile: 4 loops
30-mile: 2 loops

Aid/Drop Bags

There will be 2 aid stations per loop, which are accessed twice each, so a total of 4 aid for 30 mile and 9 aid for 60 mile, about every 5-10 miles.

Aids #1 and #2: food provided TBA 

Aid #1 will also have your drop bags (you will need to drop off your drop bag 15 Minutes prior to start, no bins allowed).

***IMPORTANT***

When coming through on your last lap at Aid #1 (2x per loop, so basically 2nd time on 30 Miler, 4th time on 60 Miler), you can drop your bag in the return pile, or else you will either need to wait until the race is over or drive to Aid #1 and pick up your drop bag.

Finish Race Food, Drinks, all at the Awards, Raffle will all be at the Finish Line starting when first riders finish.

Course Etiquette

When on the course please be sure to use courtesy, call out when passing and if someone is calling out to pass move over and allow that person to pass.

Course Markings:  The course will be marked extensively with pink and orange clip-on streamers, yellow caution tape, and directional arrows.

Parking and Start Location

Parking will be available at the Echo Valley Ski area.  We will have parking attendants available to assist you with this process. 

The start AND finish will be at Echo Valley Ski Lodge.
